LRL recently hosted a Christmas party at the Holiday Inn Manchester City Centre on the 24th of November. The event brought together our dedicated team, suppliers, and industry colleagues for an enjoyable evening.


The Holiday Inn, recognised for its warm hospitality and tasteful ambiance, provided the perfect backdrop for our festive gathering. The Christmas spirit was evident from the moment our team entered the venue, creating a memorable atmosphere for the night.




The evening kicked off with a reception where colleagues and guests mingled, exchanged festive greetings, and shared the joy of the season. Laughter and camaraderie filled the air as team members, from seasoned experts to newcomers, gathered to celebrate another successful year for LRL Roofing Solutions.













A highlight of the night was the delightful Christmas street food buffet, featuring a mix of traditional dishes with a contemporary twist. The irresistible spread certainly prompted a few loosened belt buckles to accommodate for the indulgence! Accompanied by a captivating magician, the festivities provided ample photo opportunities for our photographer, capturing some truly memorable expressions.


LRL_roofing-143.jpgAs the night progressed, the DJ set the stage for a special moment—the inaugural LRL Awards ceremony. A new tradition that aims to recognise individuals within our company who exemplify our core standards of Safety, Quality, and Value delivered with Integrity. The management team, with genuine enthusiasm, commenced the ceremony, shedding light on the outstanding achievements and exceptional contributions of team members who went above and beyond in upholding the principles that define our company culture.


Congratulations to the Winners of the LRL Awards 2023:


  • Project of the Year - Altrincham Leisure Centre (Phase 1) - Damien Hunter and Colin Bryram:


The excellent efforts of both Damien and Colin, led to this project being named our ‘Project of the Year’. These two individuals showcased exemplary teamwork and made sure the project was performed on time and under budget. Their excellent communication and workmanship throughout ensured that we secured phase 2. A special mention also goes out to Neil Jones, Adam Smith, Michael Raistrick, and Mark Oakes, who were instrumental behind the scenes.




  • Rising Star(s) – Andrew Watt & Johnny Constantine


This category highlights an individual who has shone throughout 2023 by delivered beyond expectations and showing an appetite to do more for LRL. In this case it was just too hard to separate both eventual winners, Andy Watt, and Johnny Constantine. Both have tremendous focus on their careers here at LRL and have shown they are dedicated to progressing within the company by taking on extra responsibilities and exhibiting a strong desire to learn.


Peers described Jonny as ‘’a great lad and an excellent grafter.’’ Who has ‘’a great commitment to the cause, flagging all balconies single handily’’ He is ''a great worker and really nice lad, [with] great attitude [and] nothing’s a problem.’’


Colleagues also described Andy as ‘’LRL through and through, gets his head down always willing to learn.’’ He is ‘’always a positive person [and his] effort and attitude is excellent.’’





  • People’s Choice – Michael Raistrick


Michael's recognition as the ‘People's Choice’ reflects the high regard and admiration of his voting peers. This award is a testament to Michael's positive influence and the impact he has on those around him. ‘’Mick continually goes over and above his role to support the contracts team as well as balancing his own workload. Always there to support, always answers his phone. He has also supported me in difficult meetings.’’




  • LRL Champion – Joshua Ford


This award was likewise a staff vote with the eventual winner, Josh Ford, being picked based on a strong commitment to LRL’s principles of Quality and Value. Josh has gone above and beyond this year by producing some amazing marketing material, helping us reach the next level. He has also helped LRL secure large projects with excellent quality tenders. On top of this, Josh has played a pivotal role in securing yet another NFRC Roofing Award.



In the course of our awards initiative, we successfully generated £170 in support of The Christie Charity, contributing to the Cancer Appeal Fund. Committed to making a positive impact, LRL pledged a £5 donation for every vote cast, reinforcing our dedication to this commendable cause.

As we reflect on these remarkable achievements of the winners, we extend our gratitude to every team member who contributes to the success of LRL. Together, we eagerly anticipate another year of excellence, collaboration, and shared accomplishments.




Later in the evening, our team and guests immersed themselves in a variety of festive activities and entertainment. The lively dance floor became the focal point, with our very own Danny Atkinson, who was sporting a luminous green tie, managing to attract everyone centre stage, encouraging our guests to display their most impressive dance moves!


Reflecting on the event, LRL Manging Director, Rob Richmond, expressed appreciation for the hard work and dedication of the team members throughout the year. "Our Christmas party was a wonderful opportunity to come together, unwind, and celebrate the successes of the past year. We recognise the dedication of our team and look forward to achieving even greater heights in the coming year. Thank you to all guests who attended and made this a night to remember.’’
