We are proud and excited to announce that our Operations Director Rob Richmond has been promoted to the role of Managing Director with immediate effect. The founder and owner of the business, Robert Lomax will be vacating the Managing Director seat and stepping into the role of company CEO.

Rob joined the business eight years ago as a site manager and quickly progressed to become an estimator. It was in this role that Rob proposed a new model for the business which would see LRL delivering felt roofing projects alongside cold applied liquids for the first time, with him operating as the General Manager of the felt division.

Over the course of the following year, the business re-branded and Rob was appointed as Operations Director. He has since been crucial to the ongoing success and growth of the business having implemented significant changes and practices whilst growing an exceptional contracts team which is consistently delivering a wide range of high-quality projects. His commitment for living out the company values, “Safety, Quality, Value, delivered with Integrity” is central to ensuring that LRL builds on its reputation for delivering an excellent service to every customer, every time.

In 2019 Rob was recognised for his expertise externally by the NFRC and was invited to take a seat as the North West representative on their Health & Safety Committee, building on LRL’s reputation for innovative thinking and excellence.
