COVID-19 (Coronavirus) Statement – 1st May 2020

LRL Roofing Solutions remain fully operational with all services available.

LRL Roofing Solutions provide vital support to clients across multiple industries and communities across the UK.

We build, repair and maintain the roofs of vital client sites including: the NHS, schools, care homes, supermarkets, rail network hubs and many more.
As the UK find itself in the midst of the ongoing COVID-19 crisis, we are responding to both our clients and the government, who have stressed the importance of these activities and that they must continue.

On 31 March, the Secretary of State for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy Alok Sharma confirmed in an open letter to the construction industry: ‘Whether by building temporary hospital wards, installing complex and life-saving oxygen systems, constructing the infrastructure that society needs to function or ensuring that people have safe and healthy homes to live in, you are delivering for our Nation through this difficult time.’

On 1 April, the Construction Leadership Council's co-chair Andy Mitchell, wrote a letter to the Prime Minister suggesting a series of measures to help sustain industry through COVID-19 and boost recovery. The letter was co-signed by all members of the Construction Industry Taskforce and you can read it in full here.

At all times, there is no higher priority to LRL than the first of our core values which are Safety, Quality & Value delivered with integrity. The safety of our people, our clients, and the communities we work in, is as always, paramount.
With this in mind we have reviewed all of our sites to ensure that we are operating in compliance with the  Construction Leadership Council’s site operating procedures with work being stopped where we are unable to.

This is a dynamic and fluid situation and so we are continuously reviewing our response to it ensuring we are able to pivot and act quickly where necessary and continue to deliver our crucial services safely, responsibly to the highest of standards.

LRL have implemented the following measures accross all working sites:

  • Where possible maintaining 2m apart
  • Staggered breaks, maximum teams of two on break at any one time
  • Regular compulsory breaks to wash hands at roof level
  • Alcohol gel supplied to all personel
  • Where confined works are unavoidable RPE is compulsory
  • Avoiding physical contact with colleagues, clients, other trades and deliveries
  • COVID-19 site specific risk assessments now in place
